New Realising Hero Bikes and Scooters in India - 2015 By

Here's a list of  upcoming Hero bikes & scooters to be launched in India.in 2015

Hero MotoCorp unveiled their first quarter-litre motorcycle, the HX250R, in early 2014 just before the Delhi Auto Expo. While a majority of motorcycles showcased by Hero MotoCorp at the biennial event were highly innovative and futuristic, the HX250R stuck to the traditional norms of motorcycling and seemed to be one of the most production-feasible motorcycles among the bunch.

The HX250R is powered by a four-stroke single cylinder liquid cooled 249cc engine that churns out 31bhp and peak torque of 26Nm. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with optimized ration selection. It is equipped with an advanced multi-sensor fuelling system to deliver optimal fuelling.  The performance figures on paper sound good with a company claimed figure of 0-60 kmph in 2.7 secs. The bike features two modes – eco and power. Eco mode will give less performance and more fuel efficiency whereas the power mode gives the max performance.

Engine -249cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder
Power - 31bhp, 26Nm
Expected launch - Mid 2015

Expected price - Rs. 1.5 lakh - Rs. 2.0 lakh

Hero Hastur

The Hastur is built around a striking yellow trellis steel tube chassis with an aluminium sub frame, which extends into the swing arm and provides a raw appeal to the motorcycle. The huge sculpted tank complements the minimalist bodywork and blends in smoothly with the seat.

The Hastur is powered by a four-stroke 620cc parallel-twin engine producing 79bhp and 72Nm of torque. The liquid-cooled engine is mated to six-speed gearbox. With a kerb weight of just 160kgs, the engine is capable of propelling the Hastur to 240kmph, with the sprint to 100kmph taking just 3.8 seconds.

Other modern touches to the engine like the cartridge type transmission which enables efficient power transfer, controlled swirl injection and counter rotating crankshaft show clear influence of EBR technology in the Hastur. Ten-spoke alloy wheels carry Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres while braking is taken care of by four-pot radial-mount discs in the front and a single-piston disc at the rear.

The Hastur is equipped with twin projector beam headlamps with LED DRLs and LED tail lamps. It uses 43mm inverted forks in the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. The instrument cluster is made of a blue backlit TFT display which displays all the necessary information.

Rather than being a mass-selling product, the Hastur will be more of an image builder for the Delhi-based manufacturer. While the production version of the Hastur might not be as radical as the concept, we expect it to be quite different from the rest of Hero’s motorcycles. As the bike will be locally produced, we expect it to be priced very competitively in the Rs 5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh bracket against the Hyosung GT 650N and the Ducati Monster 695.

Engine - 620cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled
Power - 78bhp, 72Nm
Expected launch - Late 2015

Expected price - Rs. 4 lakh - Rs. 5 lakh

Hero ZIR 150cc Scooter

Hero MotoCorp have launched new 150cc Scooter  at Auto Expo 2014 in India. The Hero ZIR range comes in two variants: the flat floorboard model and a European style step thru model.
Hero ZIR is powered by Liquid Cooled, 4-Stroke 2 Valves OHC engine that produces the maximum power of 10.5 kW and torque of 12.7 Nm. It’s forced Dynamic Cooling Air System maintains an apt temperature of the liquid coolant during long high speed rides. The top speed of ZIR is 110 kmph.
In design, the ZIR has European-styled step seat, sporty front protection screen, dual projector lamps with day running lights, flower type disc plates, bright LED winkers and tail lamp, integrated pillion handle and a combo of digital – analog console.
Another utility is a socket for mobile phone charging and EFI system will communicate with smart phone for all Engine / Riding information through Ride-Stat app. Right now Android app is in testing but we chance to get our hands on it. It’s really cool to record scooter data such as Fuel Efficiency, Total Km, Trip meter, Throttle, Odometer, Power, Torque, cost per km etc. Right now the app will be available for Android but soon it will be available for iPhone, Windows Phone and BlackBerry.

Engine - 157cc single-cylinder
Power - 13.8bhp, 12.7Nm
Expected launch - Q1, 2015

Expected price - Rs. 75, 000 - Rs. 90, 000

Hero Leap Hybrid Scooter

The Hero Leap Hybrid Scooter may be destined for a commercial launch by early 2015 according to a report. Hero is not expecting the scooter to sell in large numbers, only 6,000 units will be rolled-out in the first year of production with changes being made in time with the spike or dip in demand. The scooter is expected to be launched in other markets first before it makes its way to India, the markets where EVs and hybrids are in demand will be mainly targeted. If the Indian government makes any headway with the NEMMP (National Electric Mobility Mission Plan) 2020, Hero could look at being more aggressive in the segment here.

Engine - 124cc
Power - 10.7bhp, 60Nm
Expected launch - Early 2015
Expected price - Rs. 75, 000 - Rs. 1.10 lakh

Hero Dash 110cc

Features Of Kawasaki Ninja 300

The moment we laid eyes on the supposed 2013 Ninja 250 pictures. Amazing super sport styling accompanied by new cycle parts, a fatter rear tyre and not to mention some much needed mid range grunt. However the latest news from Kawasaki tells us that the bike is in fact 300cc and not a 250.
The all new body as we discussed before looks absolutely smashing with styling cues taken from the acclaimed ZX-10R. The current Ninja already looked bigger than a 250 cc motorcycle should and with the new styling it’s become literally impossible to claim this as a quarter litre sportsbike. What has also taken a back seat is the archaic analog speedo console. In comes a modern digital Dash which is not only eons ahead of the current set up but also offers a lot more information.

Featurs Of Honda Livo

The Honda Livo is the first all-new motorcycle from the stables of the Japanese two-wheeler giant and will be replacement for the Honda CB Twister

The commuter segment is among the most important market for any two-wheeler manufacturer in the country. As it is this segment that contributes the highest volume in the overall sales. Despite this fact, that commuter segment is among the toughest market for any manufacturer to crack. Honda commenced their operations in the commuter segment in the form of the CB Twister. The bike was pitched as a premium commuter motorcycle and was endowed with a sharp and edgy styling. Despite the early success, the Honda CB Twister never garnered the numbers as expected by the Japanese two-wheeler giant. Honda knows that to thwart Hero MotoCorp from the numero uno position, it needs to garner volumes from the commuter segment. For this purpose it has launched the new Livo in India. The new Honda Livo is the replacement for the CB Twister as a premium commuter in its portfolio

Styling:

Since the Honda Livo has been marketed as an aspirational commuter motorcycle it gets a Dash of aggressive styling to set it apart from the standard entry-level motorcycles. The Livo gets a sharp looking headlamp that seems inspired from the Honda Unicorn 160. The headlamp has been neatly integrated into an edgy bikini fairing. Another interesting design detail on the Honda Livo is the sculpted fuel tank with jagged tank extensions that gives the design a dash of muscle. The overall design is devoid of any body graphics but an accessory graphics package is available to further sport up the simple, yet elegant looks of the bike. The instrument cluster is a basic analogue unit but what sets it apart is the hexagonal design that makes it unique. It houses a speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer and various tell-tale lights. The switch gear is basic but reek of good quality and overall build quality is nice.

Features of Honda Stunner CBF

Honda Stunner CBF

Editorial Review of the Honda Stunner CBF bike

The Honda CBF Stunner is company's attempt to have its presence in 125cc executive segment with its premium looks and off-course, premium pricing. The CBF Stunner is a full sized 125cc semi-faired commuter based on its counterpart CB Shine with snazzier big bike looks, and is placed above it in terms of price. The motorcycle looks modern and promises to deliver more than the regular 125cc motorcycles available in the market for the price on which it is on offer.
The Honda CBF Stunner is easily the biggest 125cc motorcycle, in aesthetic form, available in India today. The front is dominated by an angular headlamp incorporated in a semi-fairing reminiscent of a wing of a bird, with a tinted large visor sitting atop it. The fuel tank is a large unit with nice contours and gels well with the front fairing and seems like a single unit in symphony with it. The rear has a small tail lamp nestled at a height. The bike features split seat to arise its aesthetic and sporty appeal. The instrument console is a nicely styled unit with an analog speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, tripmeter and other tell tale lights. The awkward positioning and basic switchgear are a bit letdown, but the fabulous build quality and fit and finish make up for it. The snazzy graphics on the body raise its appeal further more. Overall, the bike surely will hit the chords of the buyers who want more for less.
Showing signs of inspiration from Shine, powering this executive motorcycle is a 124.7cc engine borrowed from the latter with some tweaks, exhibiting more or less the same specifications – maximum power and torque outputs standing at 11.2 PS and 11 Nm respectively. The engine is a creamy smooth unit with a linear power delivery, which with the help of the aerodynamic semi-fairing gives a better peak performance than the other naked commuters. The fuel efficiency at 52.4 kmpl is also decent for a motorcycle of this size.
From the saddle, this bike truly gives a big bike feel which no other motorcycle in its segment delivers. The high set handlebar, mild rear set foot pegs and front fairing gives the dynamic stance to this motorcycle which is a pleasurable experience in its price range. The front suspension of telescopic forks and rear 3 way adjustable coil springs give the ride quality which can be said as ample over big potholes and inadequate bumps. The brakes offer good bite too, and with the option of a front disc brake, the stops are quite precise. Overall comfort offered by this motorcycle is pretty well, though the additional bulk of the front fairing may not offer the high levels of flickability of a naked commuter in the traffic.
The Honda CBF Stunner can be easily called as one of the best 125cc motorcycles available in the market at present. Though being on a higher price side as compared to its competitors, but it offers a rich set of features, mile munching performance, big bike feel and the sticker of reliability which comes plastered with every Honda machine.
